Το νεοϋρκέζικο «The Tanκ», ένα από τα επιδραστικότερα off-off θέατρα του Μανχάταν, επιλέγει την πλατφόρμα του Θεάτρου Τέχνης για να παρουσιάσει για πρώτη φορά διαδικτυακά στην Αμερική, την Ελλάδα και τον υπόλοιπο κόσμο, την τελευταία σκηνοθεσία της καλλιτεχνικής του διευθύντριας Meghan Finn. Πρόκειται για το έργο “When we went electronic” που αποθέωσαν οι The New York Times, μια μετάκληση που είχε προγραμματιστεί για τη σκηνή της Φρυνίχου τον φετινό Ιούνιο και που οι δύο οργανισμοί συναποφάσισαν λόγω του Covid-19 να παρουσιάσουν διαδικτυακά, μέσα από το πρόγραμμα «Θέατρο Τέχνης -και- στο σπίτι». Η παράσταση είναι διαθέσιμη στην αγγλική γλώσσα από σήμερα Πέμπτη 23 Απριλίου στην επίσημη ιστοσελίδα του Θεάτρου Τέχνης, με συμβολικό αντίτιμο παρακολούθησης 3,5 ευρώ. Υπενθυμίζουμε ότι τα έσοδα των παραστάσεων που προβάλλει το Θέατρο Τέχνης on demand, διατίθενται αποκλειστικά στους εργαζόμενούς του, ως ελάχιστη ένδειξη στήριξης και αλληλεγγύης για το διάστημα όπου το θέατρο παραμένει κλειστό.
When we went electronic / λίγα λόγια για την παράσταση
Σχολείο τέλος! Βράδια αποφοίτησης 2011. Δύο κορίτσια «Made in USA», νεαρά μοντέλα της American Apparel, αναζητούν τη χαμένη τους μνήμη μετά από ένα «τραγικά» διασκεδαστικό πάρτι. Καθώς όμως αρχίζουν να τους συμβαίνουν πολύ περίεργα πράγματα, τα κορίτσια αμφισβητούν σιγά-σιγά την αυθεντικότητα της προσωπικής τους σύνθεσης, των υλικών από τα οποία οι ίδιες είναι φτιαγμένες, για να φτάσουν στο τέλος να αναρωτηθούν αν ό,τι συνέβη το προηγούμενο βράδυ ήταν όντως αληθινό. Ίσως τελικά το προηγούμενο βράδυ να μην ήταν «ένα-ακόμα-πάρτι». Ναι αυτό ακριβώς, ίσως να μην ήταν «ένα-ακόμα-πάρτι».

The Tank Theater, one of the most influential off-off Broadway theaters, chooses the platform of the Greek Art Theater Karolos Koun to present online, for the first time in the USA, Greece and around the world, the latest direction of its artistic director, Meghan Finn. The play “When we went electronic”, critically acclaimed by The New York Times, was part of the Frynichou Stage of Greek Art Theatre Karolos Koun’s original season. It was scheduled to take place in June 2020. The two organizations decided together, due to Covid-19, to show it online, through the program “Art Theater – at home – too”. The play is available from today, Thursday, April 23rd, on the Art Theater’s official website, with a symbolic fee of 3.5 euros (3.77 USD).

Schools Out. Its 2011. Two Made in USA. American Apparel® models search for their missing memory after a tragically fun night. But when really weird stuff starts happening, the girls begin to question the syntheticness of their own materials and if what they think happened was really real. Maybe last night wasn’t such a party after all. Literally.
